A quick overview of some of the basic rules of gameplay
LINE CALLS
- In a non-refereed game – the team receiving the ball calls the line, close calls
- If there is a referee – the opposing team can challenge the call – if the REF sees the call, he/she will make the call, IF he/she does not know for sure, then the call stands
- Some tournaments have volunteers who call the lines and they announce IN or OUT as they see it happening > usually playoff or medal games only
KITCHEN LINE CALLS
- If your team steps on the line or goes in the kitchen – be honest and declare that you were IN
- The opposing team can watch and call the receiving team, if they see it
- If you have a REF then he/she will make that call immediately when it happens
