BEGINNER DAYS HAVE FINISHED FOR THE 2022 OUTDOOR SEASON AND WILL BEGIN AGAIN NEXT SPRING. CHECK BACK HERE FOR UPDATES.
If you are a relative newcomer to pickleball but know the basics, including how to score, come out to our Beginner Play Sessions. Practice some drills or simply play a few games. It’s up to you. Beginner Play Sessions run at various times throughout the week, all at Tom Riley park (map). Playtime Scheduler will have the most up to date information on timing. See “Play the Game” tab on this website for information on Playtime Scheduler – look for games indicating a 2.0 – 2.75 skill level once you have registered (free).
Please note that while EPA volunteers have posted these time slots in Playtime Scheduler, you may have to share courts with tennis players, as per City court rules.
Bring water and a lawn chair!
Note: Parking for Tom Riley is free – east side of Islington south of Dundas – north of the baseball diamond – turn in at the lawn bowling sign. Cross the footbridge over the creek to find the courts.
In the past the city has left the tennis nets up throughout the winter and play continued throughout, with players coming together to clear snow. We will request the city leave the nets up again for this year.
